The loss of the lighthouse keeper
Within a tower on the western Cliffs
a lighthouse keeper lives.
Calm and quiet beacon steward.
Dark clouds descend, fierce seas,
lash out.
Cries echo round the cliffs.
Light house keeper consoles the gulls.
Placid sanctuary, repels the storm.
The gulls still flock,
to those western cliffs.
But the lighthouse keeper
has moved on.
